If the software tries to verify your key and fails due to server issues:
FlashFXP has officially entered "abandonware" status. While the software itself remains a powerful tool for FTP, FTPS, and SFTP transfers, the official infrastructure for license verification is often unreachable. April 1, 2017.
Run FlashFXP as an Administrator to ensure it has permission to write the license data to the Windows Registry. Why You Should Avoid "Cracked" Fixes
If you have a license for an older version (like V4 or V3), Build 3956 might not accept it directly. You must convert it to a Version 5 key.
If you cannot get Build 3956 to work or are concerned about its lack of updates, consider migrating to actively maintained alternatives:
Most "cracked" versions of FTP clients are bundled with trojans designed to steal the very FTP credentials you use FlashFXP to manage.
Check the FlashFXP Customer Portal to see if your V5 key is available for download.
